Hello, dear friends, from the Iris Inn Bed & Breakfast. I recently read an article on a blog written by my good friend Peter Scherman of the The B&B Team. It was excellent and inspiring AND all about optimism. As Peter said, it’s been a long cold winter, not because the weather has been that way, but we are all feeling the effects of these difficult economic times.

I agree with Peter and think that everything is going to be just fine! I consider myself to be an optimist. I think we all have to be optimists, and I believe success in all things depends upon optimism. Part of what makes me an optimist is you, our past guests, our friends, our family and our community. You combined with the Iris Inn provide real doses of optimism to us every day.

Yes, we are feeling the troubled economy, but I would like to use this letter to invite you back to the Iris Inn and let us share with you our hospitality and optimism. Please don’t forget about the Iris Inn. Spring has arrived, the days are longer, the hiking trails, the waterfalls, the scenic drives, and the local wineries are all alive with optimism and ready for your visit. Oh, yes, Katie is ready for you to throw the ball too!

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. It’s important and we really appreciate your time. We hope to see you here soon at the Iris Inn. Optimism works. Look around you. It’s everywhere if you open your eyes to it.

Have a safe and optimistic spring.
