Leesburg Police investigating threat at middle school made by student on social media

Leesburg Police says a threat of violence at a middle school made on social media involved a student who does not have a firearm in their possession.

The threat was directed a Harper Park Middle School in Leesburg, according to local police.

The student’s family is assisting police in the investigation into the threat.

Leesburg Police are saying that they will be upping patrols at the school in response.
