National Touring Production of Lincoln and Tubman to perform at Staunton Public Library on Feb. 18
Bright Star Touring Theatre, a national professional touring theatre company based in Asheville, N.C., will be performing their production of Lincoln and Tubman on Tuesday, February 18, at 6:30 pm at the Staunton Public Library.
In this engaging 45-minute production, two of the most iconic figures of the 19th century are brought to life and celebrated. Lincoln and Tubman delves into the childhoods of these two American figures, and explores their motivation for being part of the movement to end slavery. Key moments and decisions of their lives are recreated for young audiences. This show honors the many contributions of Abraham Lincoln and Harriet Tubman, while reinforcing the value of education and the power that we all have to make a difference in our world. Lincoln and Tubman is best appreciated by audiences in grades 3 through adult. This show will be interpreted for the deaf.
Each year, Bright Star Touring Theatre serves nearly 1,000 audiences in schools, theaters, libraries, museums and more across the country.
