New Age Auto owner Rodney Soulsby II has committed $5,000 to a reward for information into the disappearance of Waynesboro Police Department police reserve Kevin Wayne Quick.
Soulsby is a 10-year law enforcement veteran whose father served on the Metropolitan Police Department force in Washington, D.C., for 23 years.
“I have decided to give back and assist in this investigation using the best form of assistance a civilian can give: a cash reward and the news media,” Soulsby wrote in a letter to Waynesboro Police Chief Michael Wilhelm announcing the reward.
Soulsby also challenged every car dealer in Waynesboro to match his reward contribution.
“We as a law enforcement community know full well, money always makes a criminal or someone associated with them talk,” Soulsby wrote.
