The buzzer-beating loss at Duke on Saturday barely nudged Virginia in the national rankings out on Monday.
The Cavs (20-5, 9-4 ACC) held at #7 in the Associated Press Top 25, and dropped one spot to eighth in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Duke (19-6, 8-4 ACC), unranked last week, jumped back into the polls at 19th in the coaches poll and 20th in the AP poll.
North Carolina (21-4, 10-2 ACC) rocketed up four spots in each poll, to fourth in the coaches poll and fifth in the writers poll, after a comeback win at last-place Boston College and a home win over Pitt.
Villanova (22-3), which lost by 11 at Virginia on Dec. 19, remained #1 in both polls.
