UVA basketball back to #1 in USA Today Coaches Poll

UVA AthleticsAlright, so it don’t mean nothing, but anyway, UVA is back to the #1 spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll this week.

The ‘Hoos (13-0) had been #1 two weeks ago, then fell a spot to #2 last week, despite not playing a game, as Duke (12-1), also coming off a week with no games, ascended to #1.

Well, apparently, the 65-52 win over then-#9 Florida State on Saturday, in a game Virginia led by 29 with two minutes left, before the ‘Noles pressed the walk-ons to make the score look better, was impressive enough.

Duke is back at #2, followed by Tennessee (12-1), Michigan (!5-0) and Michigan State (13-2).

Virginia Tech (13-1) is a season-best #7 this week.

North Carolina (11-3) is 12th, with FSU (12-2) 13th, and NC State (13-1) 16th.
