Meet Mark Twain Ryan Clemens 1The Dumbwaiters Improv Group will make their first appearance on WTA’s Gateway stage on Saturday, Feb. 22.  The performance begins at 8:00 pm at 329 W. Main St. in Downtown Waynesboro, Va.

The Dumbwaiters is Virginia’s own comic improvisational troupe.  The professional group of actors will bring a family-friendly evening of laughter that will delight young and old.

One member of the group, actor Ryan Clemens, is a veteran performer at the Gateway.  His last appearance was in September of 2013 when he wowed the audience with his show “Meet Mark Twain”.  Ryan, a member of the Virginia Stage Company, has been doing his Mark Twain performances for more than a decade.  He was inspired by his acting idol, Hal Holbrook, who presented Twain in his classic one-person show.  When Clemens mentioned he was part of an improvisational troupe, arrangements were made to bring them to Waynesboro.  You do not want to miss this group and the opportunity to support the arts in Virginia.

Advance tickets for The Dumbwaiters Improv Group are $10 and are available online at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the box office (540-943-9999).  Remaining tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the performances for $12. Doors will open at 7:30 pm.  The Feb. 22 performance will start at 8:00 pm at WTA’s Gateway at 329 W. Main St., Downtown Waynesboro.
