Augusta Health hosts middle school career camp

augusta-health-headerEvery summer, Augusta Health Community Outreach, along with clinical departments throughout the health system, provide an amazing learning experience for middle school students from Staunton, Waynesboro and Augusta County—ACES Middle School Camp.

This year’s theme is “What about Bob?” and campers will follow Bob, a patient at Augusta Health, as he works with health professionals at Augusta Health.  Campers will not only learn what each professional does, they will have hands-on activities, learning the skills of each profession.

The camp, which runs June 22-26, provides students, while still in middle school, to learn about different health careers, talk to and question people who have those jobs, and experience what it’s like to do those jobs—all with the goal of helping them start setting their own goals about life, careers, and education.
