Additional charges in Waynesboro related to thefts
On August 2, a 58 year old Waynesboro man reported that his residence had been forcibly entered. He added that money and jewelry had been stolen. Fix pawned the items at a local shop. Officers were able to identify Fix as the burglar from the shop’s pawn records. Officers apprehended him three days later attempting to flee from police officers.
Fix’s new charges are burglary, grand larceny, and stealing property with the intent to sell.
He was originally charged on Aug. 7 with knowingly possessing stolen property and unlawful entry stemming from a June 8 theft of more than $5,000 of work tools from a local construction company.
Fix also faces theft charges in Jacksonville, Fla.
He is still in Middle River Regional Jail without bond.
