UVA announces Ticket for Troops program

Contributors

UVA AthleticsThe UVA athletics department is launching its inaugural Tickets for Troops program, which allows fans to join the Cavaliers in supporting the local military community.

UVA has donated 1,000 football tickets this season to local military organizations, which will be provided to veterans as well as active duty service men and women and their families. Fans are encouraged to join the effort in purchasing Tickets for Troops.

Tickets through this offer are $25 each and will supplement the 1,000 that Virginia Athletics has already distributed. Any donated ticket purchased by fans between now and the Military Appreciation game against Louisville on Sept. 22 will be donated for that game. All donated purchases after September 22 will be allocated to the next UVA home game on the schedule at the time of purchase.

Tickets can be purchased at VirginiaSports.com/Tickets, by calling 434-924-8821, or in person at the Athletics Ticket Office at Bryant Hall, Monday-Friday (9 a.m. – 5 p.m.).

The Tickets for Troops initiative is not a tax-deductible program.
