SMAC wins numerous events at JMU age group swim meet
The Waynesboro YMCA year-round competitive swim team, SMAC, (Shenandoah Marlins Aquatic Club) competed at the Gator Age group Meet at JMU on January 3 and 4th. The swimmers raced for the first time after the holidays. In swimming, the Christmas break is the midpoint of the short course season (events swam in 25 yard pools) and since the swimmers are off school and have more time to rest, the training is generally more strenuous.
