augusta-county2editsThe Augusta County Economic Development Office announced Thursday the opening of a satellite office of the Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center (SV SBDC) located in the Government Center in Verona. The office in Verona will be in addition to the main office in Harrisonburg.

The SV SBDC assists clients in starting, managing and growing their businesses by offering confidential, no-fee consulting, low-cost training, and connections to multiple local, state, and federal resources for small and medium-sized businesses. For more information on these services, please visit www.ValleySBDC.org.

”We’re pleased to have this new office to be able to meet with our Augusta County clients in a location more convenient to them, as well as being situated  to offer more business development workshops in the southern part of our service region,” said Joyce Krech, Director of the SV SBDC.  “We are looking forward to continued collaboration with the Department of Economic Development to serve Valley businesses.”

“The SV SBDC is a welcome addition to the Augusta County Government Center.  Their ability to provide no fee consultation, business and strategic planning as well as, financial analysis to start or improve performance for area businesses remains an integral part of our plans.  We are excited to offer a “one stop shop” for those seeking business opportunities here in Augusta County”, stated Jeffrey A. Moore, Chairman Augusta County Board of Supervisors.
