WHY: To present draft policy proposals to make healthy local food more widely available within Staunton to the public and to solicit input. The current list features half a dozen ideas, ranging from making it legal for people to sell produce that they grow at home, to offering incentives for property owners who host a community garden to helping improve the quality of farmers markets in the city. The Task Force will consider public input and then revise its proposals for introduction to Staunton City Council in September.
