East Rockingham Senior Center Members Learn About Importance of Water

Chris Graham

vpasheader0311Mariah Fortman and Shannon Regen, both interns with Valley Program for Aging Services and seniors at James Madison University, presented a program at East Rockingham Senior Center on the benefits of water and the role it plays in the body.

The center members took a quiz to test their knowledge about how vital water is to our body, and participated in conversation about ways to increase water intake. Tips were provided on how to increase the consumption of water, and how to know if an individual is dehydrated.

Overall, it was a good morning filled with informative, yet interactive games that included all members.
