The City of Waynesboro launched a new official city website on Wednesday. The $35,587 redesign project was done by CivicPlus, a Manhattan, Kan.,-based company.

“We know that citizens are accustomed to online access to services and information of all types and it is important for us to provide that online access to the local government, as well,” said Deputy City Manager Jim Shaw. “We also think that this allows us to be more efficient in many areas since online transactions take far less time than inline transactions.”

Citizens and their local government will be able to communicate through some of the new featured modules:

  • Online Payments allows citizens to pay bills online.
  • Report a Concern allows citizens to report problems.
  • Community Voice provides an interactive forum on select topics.
  • Notify Me allows citizens to sign up for email notices on topics on interest to them.
