Boy Scout Eagle Projects

Two local Stuarts Draft high school students have chosen the Waynesboro Senior Center as the organization they want to help for their Eagle project. In order to successfully complete the projects, they have to plan, fund-raise, secure donations of materials, organize volunteers and clean up.

Many thanks to both!

Andrew, a senior, has been a scout throughout school.  He started as a Tiger in first grade and has now achieved the rank of Life.  With just three merit badges to earn and his project to complete, he will soon have the distinction of being an Eagle Scout.

His project is to refurbish and stabilize the Center’s fish pond in the garden.  He plans to replace liners, pump and filter system, dispose of excess fish (if any!), and enhance the setting with appropriate water plants.

Jacob, a junior, has also been in scouting since he was a Cub. His project is our much anticipated Independence Day celebration. He’s been part of planning and organizing food, volunteers and activities all spring.
