Adam Jones homer lifts Baltimore to 3-2 win at Houston

An Adam Jones eighth-inning homer helped Baltimore salvage the final game of its series at Houston with a 3-2 win on Thursday afternoon.

Wei-Yin Chin pitched into the seventh for the Orioles, but left with the score tied at 2-2 after giving up two runs on five hits in six and a third innings, striking out nine and walking two.

Darren O’Day (2-0) vultured the win with a scoreless inning of relief that featured two strikeouts and two walks.

Zach Britton notched his 14th save with an inning and two-thirds of perfect relief with three strikeouts.

Jones was 3-for-4 on the day with the solo homer, his seventh of the season, off Houston reliever Chad Qualls (1-3), and two runs scored.
