Virginia Agriculture: Showing Virginia agriculture’s innovative side

The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) unveiled this week the second edition of Virginia Agriculture, an annual magazine devoted to the Commonwealth’s number one industry. The publication is a guide to Virginia’s farms, forests, food and agricultural exports.

va agriculture“This magazine highlights the importance of Virginia’s agriculture industry, which has an annual economic impact of more than $50 billion annually and provides more than 300,000 jobs across the Commonwealth,” said Todd P. Haymore, Virginia Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry. “In Virginia Agriculture, readers will find information on our top commodities, technological advances in agriculture, and the importance that agribusiness plays in our state.”

Virginia Agriculture is produced at no charge by Journal Communications for VDACS. It’s distributed for free to Virginia Chamber of Commerce Offices, the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, agriculture Boards and Associations, ffa members, the Virginia Cooperative Extension Service and many other organizations. All costs associated with the magazine are covered by advertising generated by Journal Communications.
