Chronic Disease Self Management at Waynesboro Senior Center

Do you have diabetes or heart disease? Depression or high blood pressure? Arthritis or COPD??? Want to lead a more active life? The Waynesboro Senior Center offers a free six-week workshop teaching participants how to lower the stress associated with chronic conditions starting July 17 at 9 a.m.

Brandy Wade will lead the workshop which teaches how to lower the stress associated with chronic conditions such as high bold pressure, pain, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and others.

This information will compliment and enhance your medical professional’s recommended treatment plans. You’ll learn a variety of necessary day-to-day management skills needed to maintain and increase life’s activities. Workshop topics include: goal setting, problem solving, managing fatigue, healthy eating, low impact exercising, and communicating effectively with family, friends and your health care team.

This program is free and open to the public. We are limited to 16 participants, so sign up today.
