Betty G. Hemp, 39, of Middlebrook, was arrested on Wednesday and charged in connection to the six puppies that were found shot to death in Augusta County last week.
Hemp is charged with:
- 6 counts of animal cruelty 3.2-6570 (felony)
- 6 counts of illegal dumping 33.2-802 (misdemeanor)
She was processed and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.
