On Stage Augusta presents new concert season

newspaperOn Stage Augusta brings together the best of the Waynesboro Concert Association and Center Stage Staunton, who have combined organizations and carry on the legacy of bringing award winning entertainment to the Shenandoah Valley.

One of the many highlights to the new season is the Grammy-nominated Cherish the Ladies, a group that brings all the best of Irish performances to the stage.  Cherish the Ladies is just one of the artists that have been carefully chosen to provide the highest quality entertainment available, with ticket prices three times less than metropolitan areas for the same performance. The artists have appeared at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway and have won prestigious awards worldwide.

On Stage’s main goal is to provide a great entertainment value while supporting the arts in our community. Go online at onstageaugusta.org and take advantage of season tickets that save you money and gain you access to four amazing shows.  Single tickets are also available online 90 days prior to the performance.

 

The 2016-2017 concert season

All concerts will be held at Wilson Memorial High School at 189 Hornet Rd, Fishersville.

Alina Kiryayeva – Thursday, October 13, 2016 – 7:30 PM
Professional concert pianist and chamber musician, Alina is globally renowned for her powerful command of the instrument, unique interpretations and clarity of sound. She has won numerous awards and has been honored by the Ukrainian President Leonid Kravchuk with the State Award for Achievement in Arts. Brilliant light-classical music.

Kubecca – Saturday, January 21, 2017 – 7:30 PM
Kubecca combines the classical and jazz education of Kuba with Rebecca’s musical theater experience to create a diverse program featuring country, jazz and showtunes arranged for unique instrumentation including the marimba, kalimba, flute and theremin. A really enjoyable blend of musical expression. 

Cherish the Ladies – Friday, February 17, 2017 – 7:30 PM
With their unique spectacular blend of instrumental talents, beautiful vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing, this powerhouse group combines all the facets of Irish culture and puts forth an immensely humorous and entertaining package. Grammy® Nominated Irish/American Supergroup.

Tenore – Friday, April 7, 2017 – 7:30 PM
Tenoré unleashes a glorious sound that breaks down musical barriers, draws together diverse cultures, and celebrates a repertoire of lyrical sweetness and dramatic strength. They are known for their powerhouse vocals, rock star charisma and invitations with audiences to sing along with them. A powerful concert experience.

On Stage Augusta is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization, which has brought outstanding, world acclaimed, live entertainment to the valley for over 60 years.  Because our non-profit organization is entirely supported by volunteers, we are able to book an outstanding caliber of performers at affordable prices.
