Senior luncheon in Highland County

vpasheader0311Join the Valley Program for Aging Services on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Highland Center cafeteria for a very special senior luncheon made from ingredients grown and produced in Highland County.

The menu for the luncheon is stuffed green peppers, scalloped potatoes, baked fruit, and salad.

The produce for the luncheon was grown and donated by the fellows at the Allegheny Mountain School. The beef was produced and donated by Healing Farm, Caroline and Greg Smith and Fair Lawn Farm, Tim and Terry Duff.

The program after the luncheon will include fellows from Allegheny Mountain School who will talk about the school and their experiences living in Highland County well as a representative from Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services, Staunton, Virginia who will talk about services and programs for those with hearing loss.

The cost for the luncheon is $2.50, which includes the meal, drink and dessert.
