Route 601 in Shenandoah County closed July 16-27 for slope repairs

road work transportationPart of Route 601 (Funk Road) in Shenandoah County is scheduled to be closed for slope repairs from 7 a.m. Monday, July 16, through 5 p.m. Friday, July 27. Route 601 will be closed 24/7 between Route 11 (Old Valley Pike) and Route 644 (Millner Road) south of Strasburg. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists approaching from the west will detour south on Route 11 and east on Route 644 to return to Route 601. Motorists approaching from the east will detour west on Route 644 and north on Route 11 to return to Route 601.

The nearby public boat-launch on Route 744 (Deer Rapids Road) will be accessible from Route 644.
