The Waynesboro Police Department arrested two Albemarle County men on drug distribution charges yesterday evening as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

On October 13 at approximately 4:30 PM, officers with the Department’s Special Operations Division stopped a ’90s model Honda Accord on Interstate 64 near mile marker 97 EB.  The two targets of the narcotics investigation, Samuel Lee Houchens, 49 years old, and Brian Keith Spradlin, 29 years old, were in the vehicle.  Both were arrested without incident.  Officers also seized some marijuana and cash out of the vehicle.

Spradlin is charged with one felony of Distribution of Marijuana.  Houchens has three charges:  two felony counts of Distribution of Marijuana (more than one-half ounce) and a misdemeanor count of Distribution of Marijuana (less than one-half ounce).  Both are being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
