angela lynnThe Virginia Sierra Club announced its endorsement of Angela Lynn for Delegate in the 25th District on Friday.

Lynn is the Democratic Party nominee in the 25th, which represents parts of Augusta County, Albemarle County and Rockingham County in the Virginia House of Delegates.

“I am proud to be endorsed by such a well known and well respected organization,” Lynn said. “I have been a member of the Sierra Club since the 1970s, and environmental issues have always been close to my heart. Here in my district, and in the Commonwealth, we must make sure that strive to protect our lands, rivers, and mountains, because our natural beauty is irreplaceable.”

Lynn has made environmental issues a priority in her campaign, including supporting full funding for the Virginia Department of Environment Quality, and opposing the proposed Atlantic Coast Pipeline.

About the Sierra Club: The Virginia Chapter of the Sierra Club is made up of your friends and neighbors working to build healthy, livable communities, and to conserve and restore our natural environment. Their work makes a difference in ensuring that we leave our children a living Virginia legacy — clean air, clean water, and natural grandeur.
