Part of Route 638 (Muddy Lane) in Rockbridge County is scheduled to close for a bridge replacement from 8 a.m. on Monday, May 11 until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28. The work zone is between Route 632 (Hall Place Drive) and Route 631 (Union School Road).
Motorists will need to follow one of the posted detours:
- Northbound drivers will turn east onto Route 631 and then west onto Route 850 (West Midland Trail) back to Route 638.
- Southbound drivers will turn east onto Route 850 (West Midland Trail) and then south onto Route 631 back to Route 638.
All work is weather permitting.
