Lane closures Thursday on Emmet Street, Route 250 Bypass in Charlottesville

road work transportationOn Thursday there will be several lane closures on Route 29 (Emmet Street) south of Hydraulic Road and along the Route 250 Bypass. The closures, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., are necessary so maintenance can be performed on the electronic message boards on the roadway.

From 9 a.m. to noon, the southbound inside lane of Emmet Street will be closed from Hydraulic Road to the Route 250 Bypass interchange.

From noon to 2 p.m. the inside eastbound lane of the Route 250 Bypass will be closed from Barracks Road to Emmet Street.

From 2 to 4 p.m. the eastbound ramp and merge lane from Barracks Road onto the Bypass will be shortened by temporary traffic controls. The exit to Route 29 (Emmet Street) southbound will remain open.
