Adult literacy tutor training from LEARN

newspaperVolunteers Needed: Learn English and Reading Now (LEARN) is looking for volunteers to tutor Augusta County area residents in basic literacy and English to speakers of other languages.  We are experiencing a particularly high need for tutors in the Waynesboro area.  If you have two and one-half to three hours a week to help change someone’s life, we need you.  No teaching education or experience necessary.  LEARN provides tutor training, materials and ongoing support.  Call 540-245-5136 or go to www.learnva.com for more information.

Tutor Training Offered:  Learn English and Reading Now (LEARN) will be offering a free, tutor training workshop on Saturday, February 21 at the United Way Office Building in Fishersville, VA. . Tutors will learn how to provide basic literacy and teach English to speakers of other languages services for Augusta County area residents.
