“Defense Technology Equipment has called Loudoun County home for nearly 30 years, and we are thrilled to watch this small, Virginia-based business nearly double its workforce with this expansion,” said Governor McAuliffe. “The Commonwealth is an ideal location for companies serving the aerospace industry and the military, as our central East Coast location, close proximity to U.S. government agencies, and premier transportation network all enable easy, strategic access to customers anywhere in the world. The success and commitment of businesses like DTE is a testament to Virginia’s world-class workforce and business climate, and represents more progress building the new Virginia economy.”

“We are proud to host Defense Technology Equipment on Virginia’s corporate roster, and congratulate the company on its impressive growth,” said Secretary of Commerce and Trade Todd Haymore. “More than 285 aerospace firms call the Commonwealth home, and they are drawn here by a skilled workforce, pro-business environment, and unparalled infrastructure. Virginia has been a leader in this industry of the future for decades, and continuing to support and grow this vital sector will remain a priority for years to come.”

“Virginia’s vast assets, including strategic Mid-Atlantic location with access to several international airports and ports, workforce, and education system, were key factors in our decision to expand in Loudoun County,” said Maria Badillo, Sr. Vince President, Defense Technology Equipment. “I look forward to continuing to work with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and Loudoun County as we begin the next chapter of our growth in the Commonwealth.”

“I’m excited to see Defense Technology Equipment, Inc. reinvesting in the 33rd District and the Dulles Technology Corridor,” said State Senator Jennifer Wexton. “Innovative companies, like DTE, recognize that Loudoun is a great place for their employees to live and their businesses to thrive.”

“I’m very excited that Defense Technology Equipment has decided to expand its workforce and investment in Loudoun County and Virginia,” said Delegate John Bell. “ Loudoun County offers an ideal business location that is close to Dulles Airport – the largest in the region – and has a high quality workforce and quality of life.
