Tight race: Clinton up three on Sanders in New Hampshire in new poll

hillary clintonHillary Clinton has a solid lead nationally, but a new New Hampshire poll has her up just three points on Bernie Sanders.

Clinton is at 47 percent in the Public Policy Polling survey in New Hampshire, with Sanders at 44 percent.

Martin O’Malley is trailing way back at 3 percent.

Turnout, as always, will be key. Clinton has a 55-36 lead on Sanders among Democrats, with Sanders’ strength among independents who say they intend to vote in the primary, where he leads 59-29.

Sanders also leads among men, by a 50-42 margin. Clinton leads with women, 51-38, and with seniors, 54-36.

Sanders is more popular than Clinton, with an 85-8 favorability rating to Clinton’s 69-24 standing. Clinton’s supporters are a little more committed, though, with 68 percent of them saying they will definitely vote for her, to 62 percent of Sanders’ voters who say they’re firmly with him.
