Upcoming AFP web, marketing classes

Augusta Free Press will offer two classes in its Building the Machine 101 web-marketing series this week.

On Wednesday, the topic will be Setting Up a Business Facebook Page 101. The 8:30-9:30 a.m. class goes into the basics of setting up a Facebook page for businesses and nonprofits.

It’s not hard to set up a Facebook page for your business or nonprofit, but how do you use your Facebook page to add to your customer base? Facebook can be an essential building block to your overall marketing/PR strategy.

On Friday, the topic is Social Media 101. That class, also offered from 8:30-9:30 a.m., offers a

n overview of the top social-media platforms and how you can use them to add customers, clients, donors and sponsors.

Internet: Wireless is available. Laptops are welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes early to set up computer, etc.

Coffee and water will be available to participants. The room tends to be warm, so please dress appropriately.
