Layman, Constance ArleneThe Waynesboro Police Department arrested a Nelson County woman after a traffic stop last night netted cash and methamphetamine.  Constance Arlene Layman, 33 years old, of Wingina, faces a felony charge of possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.

On Wednesday at 9:15 p.m., an officer stopped Layman’s 2000 Nissan Maxima at Rosser Avenue and Northgate Avenue.  One of the Department’s K-9 officers assisted on the stop and his canine alerted on the vehicle.  Officers searched Layman’s belongings and found methamphetamine and $1,235 in cash, all of which was seized.

Layman is being held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
