Richmond Police ID victim in Thursday homicide on Mansion Avenue

Richmond Police have identified the victim of the homicide on Thursday on Mansion Avenue as Willie Green, Jr., 65, of Richmond.

According to police, officers were called to the 2000 block of Mansion Avenue at 7:41 a.m. for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and located an adult male, Green, down and unresponsive in an alley. He had suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
