One person is dead after a small private aircraft crashed this afternoon in Culpeper County.
Virginia State Police report the accident happened on Spilman Road at 2:43 p.m.
The pilot was the sole occupant of the plane and died at the scene, according to VSP.
The FAA and NTSB have been notified.
The incident remains under investigation.
