Augusta County Library helps job seekers

augusta-county2editsThe Augusta County Library is partnering with the Rotary Club of Staunton-Augusta County to host another session of Job Club, a series of classes to help job seekers.  Job Club will take place at the Fishersville Library at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month through the end of April.

Each week features local career counselors and employers so that participants gain skills essential for successful job seeking. On March 18 participants can learn interviewing tips to help land the job of their dreams. April 1 will feature mock interviews with a critique.  April 15 covers the art of networking, followed for a networking social on April 29.

Adult Services Librarian Sarah Skrobis says, “Job Club can help people at all stages of their career, whether just entering the work force or looking for a promotion.”

There is no charge to participate in Job Club which also includes pizza and beverages.  Participants also receive a free job seeking manual.
