It’s a good idea to check out local regulations before the flight to see if vaping is allowed in the airport you will be departing from and landing at. Usually, the check-in process takes a really long time, and both electronic cigarette users and people who vape get frustrated thinking about stealth vaping. To not have such an extreme experience, vapers should spend a few minutes and check the airport’s website. In most cases, the information on whether vaping in the airport is allowed or not can be found in a few clicks. At the airport, there is a chance to ask airport security about whether there is a ban on vaping or not? Minutes of pleasure are not worth breaking the law.

From one point of view, portable vaporizers are not even cigarettes, but on the other hand, non-smokers are starting to speak out against all kinds of smoking devices. Thus, it is important that everybody follows the rules and regulations specific to public areas.

Airports Where Vaping Is Prohibited

The list of airports, where vaping devices and electronic cigarettes are not allowed, is much longer compared to friendly restrictions. Here are several international names, where vaping is banned. For example, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Boston Logan International, Hong-Kong and Singapore International Airports, and Chicago International Airport.

There are security and environmental reasons for banning vaping inside the airports.

Firstly, the global security situation does not look safe and stable. For the past several years, special attention has been paid to the protection and security of passengers. Vaping devices can be a tricky tool if someone wants to harm or affect people around them. There’s an opportunity to hide dangerous substances inside the mechanism.

Most airlines adhere to international regulations to ban even vape pens. If a person is caught vaping in the airport bathroom or onboard, strict measures will be taken immediately. The world society today has decided to limit the percentage of chain smokers and make the environment better on a global scale. If people want to use electronic cigarettes and vape, they have to smoke outside or in the smoking areas. Nevertheless, all no-smoking rules and requests should be made politely. Smokers should respect non-smoking people and be tolerant and respectful of each other.

Vaping-Friendly International Airports

Go to Dulles International Airport, McCarran International, Charlotte Douglas International, Miami International, Barcelona International Airport, and you’ll see that vaping is allowed there.

In several airports where smoking is allowed, there are additional smoking areas for those who use vape pens in airports and those who smoke tobacco. On official websites of every airport from the smoking-friendly list, there are simple and comprehensive maps of smoking areas. Airport management reminds everyone that vaping in the airport is only allowed in designated areas. If smokers try to vape outside of those areas, airport security is required to punish them with a civil penalty, for example in the USA there is an average fine of $250.

Airports are trying to provide equal rights for all people and respect those who smoke while also protect people who do not tolerate smoking at all with additional restrictions.

There are marketing strategies involved as well. For example, there are two airports in a city, and the flight details are the same, but the traveler is a smoker. Which airport will this person choose? It all depends on the answer to one question: Can you vape in a particular airport or not?

Protecting Non-Smokers in Airports

Everyone has their habits. Some of them cause no harm to people around while others might do that. Nowadays, vaping is a popular trend. There are thousands of different flavors to choose from.

Most people who are used to smoking indoors want to be allowed to vape in airports. Three to four hours spent waiting for a flight, without a fancy smoking device can be pretty hard for some smokers.

The Internet is a great resource to find information. Travelers should check out the official websites of the airports before their trips. It is easy to have a pleasant experience knowing regulations and laws not to break them. It’s a good idea to find a list of international airports around the globe and check where vaping is allowed and where it is banned. It is also important to know whether or not vaping devices are permitted in hand luggage.

Habits people have should not affect other people around them. There are many ways to find out whether vaping is banned or allowed in the places people travel to so they can always try to vape safely and not violate the laws and rules the airports they plan to use for their trips.
