A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Augusta-Staunton-Waynesboro area beginning at 4 a.m. Wednesday and running into Wednesday night.
The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of 1-3 inches of snow – mainly at higher elevations and on grassy surfaces.
Wet snow is expected to develop before sunrise early Wednesday morning and continue through the daylight hours.
High temperatures are projected to be in the low to mid 30s on Wednesday
