Update: Missing Waynesboro man has been located

Update: Monday, 4:54 p.m. Jose R. Gonzalez, who has been reported missing after last being seen at his Waynesboro home on July 15, has been located, according to a report from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.


Original post: Sunday, 3:38 p.m. The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing Waynesboro man.

Jose R. Gonzalez, 53, was last seen at his Waynesboro home on July 15.

Gonzalez is a white male, 5’5″, 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown shirt, a white hat and black shoes.

Gonzalez left the home on foot and never returned.
