Chris Tillman finally broke in the seventh, and the Chicago White Sox took advantage in a 4-2 win over Baltimore Saturday night.
Tillman (14-4, 3.50 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) had given up just three hits through six innings, but Justin Morneau and Todd Frazier led off the seventh with back-to-back singles. O’s manager Buck Showalter replaced Tillman with reliever Mychal Givens (3.38 ERA, 1.38 WHIP), who gave up a tie-breaking single to Omar Narvaez to give the Sox a 3-2 lead.
Adam Eaton added a solo homer in the eighth off Vance Worley (2.94 ERA, 1.27 WHIP).
The Orioles (62-47) remain in a first-place tie in the AL East with Toronto (63-48).
