600px-I-64The eastbound Interstate 64 left lane at mile marker 114 (Ivy) has reopened to traffic following an unplanned continuation of work to the bridge over Route 637 (Dick Woods Road) in Albemarle County.

Earlier this morning, crews encountered an unforeseen issue with the concrete that was poured in the left lane, which required the work zone to remain in place until the road surface cured and was made drive-able. No further impacts are expected, but the Virginia Department of Transportation will continue to monitor the work area.

Updates and other real-time travel information can be found on the 511 Virginia website, the free VDOT 511 mobile app or by calling 511 from any phone in Virginia. Local updates are also posted to Twitter.com/VaDOTCulp.
