lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesTwo 12th inning errors allowed Minnesota to score the go-ahead run in a 4-3 win over Baltimore on Sunday at Camden Yards that completed a four-game sweep.

The Orioles (62-61) had a chance to close out the game in the ninth, up 3-2, but a two-out RBI single by Trevor Plouffe off O’s reliever Zach Britton scored Brian Dozier from second to tie the game at 3-3.

The Twins (63-61) got things going in the 12th when Eduardo Escobar reached on a one-out error by Manny Machado, playing shortstop. Kurt Suzuki grounded out for the second out of the inning, and Shane Robinson, batting next, reached on an error by Jimmy Paredes, playing third base, with the ball trickling into short left, allowing Escobar to score from second.

Baltimore went down in order in the 12th to close the game out.

Brian Matusz (1-3, 2.18 ERA) took the loss in relief.

Kevin Gausman had a solid effort as the O’s starter, giving up two runs on three hits in seven innings, striking out eight without issuing a walk.
