ACC announces 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament events schedule

Coverage & Social Information

The tournament will begin on Tuesday and will conclude with a primetime championship game on Saturday. All games will be nationally televised on ESPN or ESPN2 and the ACC Network. Fans can find complete coverage of the week and join in the conversation by liking the ACC’s official Facebook page; following @theACC and @ACCMBB on Twitter, following @ACCPIX on Instagram and Snapchat or by searching for #ACCTourney. The ACC Digital Network will capture the Must See Moments, unique performance plays and sound with all highlights available at theACC.com.

 

Following each game, postgame press conferences with the head coach and selected players will be streamed live on theACC.com. Fans and media can view these at http://theacc.co/MBB15pressers.

 

ACC Fan App & Digital

A pair of free mobile Apps, the ACC Sports Mobile App and the ACC Gameday App, will give access to content from the ACCDN. Both can be found as a free download in both the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. The ACC Sports Mobile App will provide live game streams and real-time scores, stats, news and highlights.

 

Teachers of the Year

The ACC continued an initiative to recognize local Teachers of the Year by inviting them to ACC Championship events. The Guilford County Schools 2015 Teacher of the Year finalists and their guests were invited to attend the championship game of the New York Life ACC Tournament.

 

Wounded Warrior Project, National Anthem & Flag Ceremony

The ACC is once again collaborating with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to invite WWP injured service members and their guests to the championship game of the New York Life ACC Tournament. The twenty invited Warriors and family members will have VIP hospitality at FanFest and Championship Game tickets. In addition, two of these heroes will take part in a special pregame ceremony on the court. The colors will be presented by the Air Force Reserves.

 

YMCA Shootout

The Finals of the inaugural ACC Shootout will take place on Wednesday, March 11th at the New York Life ACC Tournament.  The ACC partnered with the YMCA to develop and stage the local/regional shooting competitions on February 8 and 15 at 13 YMCAs throughout North Carolina.  For each round of the ACC Shootout, participants have 90 seconds to score as many points as possible while shooting from a variety of spots on the floor.

 

ACC Legends Luncheon

The ACC Men’s Basketball Legends Luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, March 13, at the Sheraton Four Seasons in Greensboro, North Carolina. The class of Legends will also be honored during a ceremony at halftime of the first semifinal game that evening. More information on this year’s Legends class can be found at theACC.com/legends.

 

ACC FanFest

ACC FanFest, presented by the Official Corporate Champions of the ACC, will take place beginning Tuesday, March 10, and run throughSaturday, March 14, with live music, games and entertainment for ACC fans. ACC FanFest will be held in and around the 30,000-square-foot Pavilion adjacent to the main entrance of the Greensboro Coliseum. The free event will feature ACC Corporate Champion attractions, live entertainment, appearances by the ACC mascots, an interactive sport court, free face painting, food and drinks, an official Tournament merchandise store, interactive games and novelty stations, daily giveaways, ACC Legends autograph signing, historical exhibits and fun for the entire family.
