LibertyLiberty’s three-game winning streak was snapped on Sunday evening at Osborne Stadium as the Lady Flames fell to Kennesaw State 0-1 in overtime.

The Flames drop to 8-6-2 and 4-2 in the ASUN while Kennesaw State improves to 8-7-3 and 3-3 in conference.

As the game went back-and-forth all day between Liberty and KSU, both teams struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm. Only one shot was attempted in overtime but it was the difference maker as Becky Contreras scored to give the Owls the victory.

“It was a hard fought, back and forth game, and Kennesaw just made one more play than us in the end. We have to regroup and get ready for FGCU next week,” Liberty coach Lang Wedemeyer said.
