UVA Team Notes

  • Junior Jocelyn Willoughby (East Orange, N.J.) is third in the ACC and eighth in the nation in three-point shooting, making 48.4 percent of her attempts
  • Willoughby grabbed the 500th rebound of her career with 5:56 remaining in the third quarter of the Clemson game. She leads the team in rebounding at 7.9 per game. She also led the team in rebounding as a freshman when she averaged 6.2 per game
  • Willoughby has scored in double figures in six of the last seven games, with two 20-point performances in that span
  • Senior forward Mone Jones (Durham, N.C.) had back-to-back games with double-digit scoring for the first time in her career, with a career-best 12 points against Florida State and 10 at Clemson
  • Sophomore guard Brianna Tinsley (Madison, Va.) is averaging 13.3 points per game in her last three games, including scoring 19 against Florida State
  • Junior guard Dominique Toussaint (Staten Island, N.Y.) has scored in double figures in four of the last five games
  • The Cavaliers have two players averaging in double figures for the season, Willoughby (12.9) and Toussaint (11.1), but have four players scoring in double figures in ACC contests: Willoughby (14.5), Tinsley (14.0), Jones (11.0) and Toussaint (10)
  • Junior forward Lisa Jablonowski (Ernster, Luxembourg) is averaging 11.6 point per game in the last three games, including a 17-point performance against Charlotte. Jablonowski is shooting 68.4 percent (13-of-19) from the field in that same span
  • Jablonowski has seven steals in the last three games. She had nine steals in the first 13 games
  • In the last six games, five different players have led the team in scoring, with only Toussaint repeating as the game-high scorer in that span
  • Virginia is 21st in the nation and third in the ACC for fewest fouls per game, averaging just 14.0 per contest. Not a single Cavalier has fouled out of a game this season
  • The Cavaliers scored a season-best 23 second-chance points at Clemson (off 19 offensive rebounds). The team scored a season-high 28 points in the paint against Florida State
