DaVita Made $1,000 Donation to HR Meals on Wheels

DaVita made a $1,000 corporate gift to VPAS for the Meals on Wheels program in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

This company provides dialysis services in Harrisonburg. Lois Kelly, DaVita Social Worker, contacted Ada Longenecker, HR Case Manager, in late October regarding their interest in making the gift. Ms. Kelly works with several clients that VPAS also serves. Each year the local office votes on a non-profit organization to be the recipient of the annual gift. VPAS is pleased that that the HR MOW’s program was the staff’s top choice.

Beth Bland, HR RD, was able to provide the required information for Ms. Kelly to complete the gift request. While VPAS has received the donation, Ms. Kelley has requested to hold a check presentation in January 2014.
