The City of Charlottesville has contracted with a law firm based out of Richmond to serve as the acting city attorney.

The move comes after Jacob Stroman, the city’s regular attorney, is on leave.

The city manager has retained the services of Sands Anderson PC for 60 days beginning April 15.

All active litigation is being managed to ensure the city does not fall behind, according to the city.
