Chris Graham

augusta-health-headerAugusta Health Lifetime Fitness has earned re-certification as a Certified Medical Fitness Facility by the Medical Fitness Association.  Lifetime Fitness is the first and only medical fitness facility world-wide that received a score of 100% on both its initial certification and its recertification.

“The exemplary scores earned by Lifetime Fitness throughout the survey and review process by the Medical Fitness Association reflect the quality of our staff and of the level of professional expertise they provide to our members and the community,” said Scott Crabtree, PT, DPT, OCS, Director of Therapies and Lifetime Fitness.  “The staff has created a wonderful environment for everyone in the community to exercise and learn about fitness.  At the same time, they have worked with many to help prevent and manage chronic disease—and improve the health of our community.  I’m pleased that these efforts have been nationally recognized.”

The certification program is the only certification offered specifically to facilities in the medical fitness industry, an industry that serves over 4 million members.  The certification process includes an in-depth, on-site review of each facility’s adherence to prescribed standards and guidelines.  The process ensures that facilities provide a high level of quality and safety in programs and services, and are fully integrated into the continuum of healthcare.
