It is now easier to get organic resources like manure and manure-based products on the web.
The Virginia Poultry Federation and the Shenandoah Resource Conservation and Development Council have launched a new website for marketing livestock manure and manure-based products.
ValleyOrganicResources.com is a virtual marketplace for people buying the organic products. The site works in conjunction with the Poultry Litter Hotline that Shenandoah Resource Conservation and Development Council market maker Becky Barlow began last year.
Visitors to the site will find contact information for growers with litter to sell, brokers who haul and spread litter, compost suppliers with compost to sell, and buyers interested in the products.
