sdda logo2Bring all of your little ghosts and goblins to the safe and family-friendly Halloween event in Downtown Staunton on Saturday, Oct. 25, courtesy of Staunton Downtown Development Association, Staunton Parks & Recreation, The Children’s Art Network, Star 94.3, and StellarOne Bank.

From 10 a.m. to noon, children can visit the SDDA Witch, participate in a bag craft activity, and snap photos of Halloween vignettes at the Wharf on Byers Street.

Also from 10 a.m. to noon, children may Trick or Treat throughout the Downtown area. Look for expanded participation this year with events as far to North the Vintage Holiday Marketplace at LTD 7 and as far South as the Depot where The Bakers Dozen donuts and Lucas Coffee will be for sale by Rachel’s Quilt Patch.

A list of participating businesses and map will be available at the Wharf and at several participating stores on the day of the event, and each store will be prominently using flyers featuring pumpkins to welcome the children in. See stauntondowntown.org at the beginning of the week for a sneak peek at the map.
