Incumbents win re-election in Augusta County Board of Supervisors races

augusta-county2editsIncumbents Tracy Pyles and Marshall Pattie each won re-election to seats on the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, and former supervisor Wendell Coleman won a race for the open seat in the Wayne District.

Pyles, a 20-year incumbent in the Pastures District, narrowly won his race with Christopher Morrison, with 52.0 percent of the vote, defeating Morrison by 101 votes.

Pattie, seeking his second term representing the North River District, won a comfortable victory over Stephen Morris, with 70.9 percent, winning by 1,227 votes.

Coleman, who served two terms on the board representing the Wayne District, from 2004-2012, defeated John Henry Graves with 71.9 percent of the vote, outpolling Graves by 1,118 votes.

Three incumbents who were unopposed also won re-election: Gerald Garber in Middle River, Michael Shull in Riverheads, and Carolyn Bragg in South River.

Newcomer Terry Kelley was unopposed for election in Beverley Major.
